For Phil Arends, it all clicked when he decided to make the transition to real estate nearly 11 years ago. After 30 years of owning and operating his travel agency in Sisters, Phil decided to not only reinvent his career, but also himself. Rather than seeing this as a setback, he took it as an opportunity he could seize and find success in. Under the mentorship of his partner at the time, Dick Howells, Phil quickly began to flourish in the real estate industry. It’s no surprise that Phil is guided by the words of Wayne Dwyer, “When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.”

Today, Phil specializes in resort properties at Black Butte Ranch as well as developments and homes in Sisters, Bend, Redmond, and other areas in Central Oregon. When it comes to his business, it’s quite simple: the client always comes first. Phil pledges to professionally provide each of his clients with value and treat them with the utmost respect and honor.

At the end of the day, his career is much more than selling and buying homes. Phil is creating a legacy of respect and appreciation by showing this to each person he encounters. He hopes that living his life in this manner, will encourage others to follow suit and leave a lasting impact on his community.

When Phil’s not selling real estate, he enjoys exploring the Central Oregon food scene and traveling to Hawaii. He enjoys being surrounded by the people, culture, and natural beauty of the Hawaiian islands with the one’s he loves most. However, Phil’s happy place is in the present moment; each day, he strives to stay present and find joy right where he’s at.
